The Chronology of the Universe of Ethos
and the
Stories Within
In the jungle of Wolvennell, there were many unique animals with unique abilities and strengths. Among the wild animals that lived there, though, there were none as strong nor as talented as FightingBear. Trained from birth to be a martial artist, FightingBear was the strongest, most skilled fighter in the jungle. He used his unique abilities to protect the other animals of the jungle from outside organizations who would wish to use, kill, or subjegate them. Occasionally a fighter would enter the jungle seeking to take his place as the most powerful fighter, but each time, FightingBear proved to be the better.
That was until Sinnuet, a cassowary fighter sent by King Zowizu to conquer the jungle, bested him in a fight. She beat him almost to death, and with him out of the way, she became the single most powerful hunter in the jungle. She hunted whatever animal she sought just for the sport of it, and the others she placed as her servants. Any rebellion she would take down, occasionally using forces from King Zowizu's Empire to back her up.
Disgraced and humiliated, his role as protector stolen, FightingBear fled into hiding. It wasn't long, though, before he was found by Master Gezzichai, a mysterious dragon who had survived from the time of Ethosium. Gezzichai forced FightingBear to accept his training, putting FightingBear through rigerous teaching in order to improve his martial arts style. While this embarrased FightingBear further, he learned that he had indeed needed the training from the old dragon.
When Gezzichai finally agreed that FightingBear was ready, they went off to confront Sinnuet, the now primary ruler of the jungle. Master Gezzichai allowed FightingBear to fight Sinnuet on his own, instead keeping any others away who would interfere with their fight. In the end, FightingBear defeated Sinnuet and reclaimed his role as the protector of the jungle.
When servants of the Shadows of Corruption arrived at the jungle to claim the Shadows' Bane weapons, FightingBear fought alongside StinkBird, attempting to protect the jungle. Thus, when StinkBird joined GreatBeasts, he took FightingBear alongside him into the group. FightingBear became the primary muscle behind GreatBeasts, helping with anything from fights to construction, and in the end playing a major role in the defeat of the Shadows of Corruption, despite his lack of a Shadows' Bane weapon.
