The Story of Selinne:

    Selinne grew up in a wealthy family, with everything she wanted at her disposal. This made her prideful, and she often displayed her wealth to her friends. As she grew older though, she began to be dissatisfied. It was as if there was a hole in her heart, but she didn't know what to fill it with. After searching for years, she finally decided what she was missing: power. 

    Power. With enough power, she could have the entire world at her disposal. She began to study the dark arts, seeking their power. She found books that had been restricted and hidden away for centuries and absorbed their knowledge, learning evils the likes of which no human for hundreds of years had dared to use. It still wasn't enough, though. 

    She turned to killing her own friends and family, stealing their life-power through evil rituals. Soon enough, she found herself alone, all of her family and friends no more than husks on the floor. Did she care, though? Maybe a piece of her regretted it, but that was overshadowed by the new sensation of power that she felt. It was beautiful, but she needed more! 

    She sought out new ways to gain power. That was when she found the Shadows of Corruption. It was an energy source from ancient Ethosium, so powerful that it had destroyed the entire city! Selinne devoted all of her time into bringing the Shadows of Corruption back to power. It took her five years, but then she heard their voice. The Shadows of Corruption gave her a purpose, placing her at the top of his armies and embuing her with their power. She exaulted in this until MindShift, a creation by the Shadows of Corruption, took her place. She attempted to usurp his power for herself, but his intellect proved to be too much for her. However, when he stepped down to join GreatBeasts, Selinne was given another chance. She fought against GreatBeasts, using all of her powers she had gained to destroy them. They proved to be too much, though, and she was defeated. Reluctantly, she snuck away, giving them the victory.

    She spent the following two years working to give the Shadows of Corruption a physical form. Finally, her work was finished, producing the physical embodyment of the Shadows of Corruption known as Ultimate Shadow. Selinne now had the power she had sought for so long! That was, until Ultimate Shadow attempted to turn her into his mindless slave to spread the Shadow Infection.

    She was distraught. How could this happen? After all she had done, after she had killed all of those that she loved to get this power, after all of the years she had spend creating the Shadows of Corruption? This was not the ending that she wanted. Thus, before she could be fully corrupted, she took her own knife to her heart. In the end, her works had been meaningless. With her last thoughts she wondered, what truly had she been missing that could've filled the hole that had been in her heart?
